Members of the Phoenix Center staff attended the 3rd Annual LGTBQ+ Chamber of Commerce Career Fair. The aim of the event was to empower the LGBTQ+ community in the Upstate and beyond through employment opportunities. At the event we were able to share more about the Phoenix Center as well as our ERG initiatives and more. We look forward to attending again next year!

In honor of Black Balloon Day we want to send love and strength to anyone whose life has been affected by addiction and overdose. Black Balloon Day is a powerful reminder of the human cost of addiction and the urgent need for change. By remembering those lost, raising awareness, and advocating for resources, we can help fight for a future free from overdose tragedies.

The Family Effect is grateful for the community mindedness of these three individuals. They always go above and beyond to assure the strengthening and healing of the Greenville Community. Thank you for your contribution to the Phoenix Center, the community and to creating a positive future by using your heart, time and talents to inspire hope, heal families and eliminate addiction.

Do you have the lived experience of addiction in the past and willing to share with others struggling in addiction? We want to congratulate our very own Mandy Hadsell for obtaining her NAADAC National Peer Support Certification! Mandy joined Phoenix Center over a year ago as a Workforce Development counselor, with goals of assisting our clients with job placement with employers and to promote our community to “hire people in recovery.” In addition, she has helped facilitate former clients, now in recovery, to attend peer support trainings during the past year in order to begin working in the addiction treatment field. Thus far, 40 former clients and community members have attended the Peer Support Training and many are working with human service organizations in the upstate.

Congratulations to the winners of this year's end of the year awards. They all make a tremendous impact on clients and staff with their diligence, hard work, and kindness. We are all very grateful to have them as a part of the Phoenix Center family!
