Pasadena Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) is Pasadena's non-profit industrial development corporation designed to drive the retention and investment of resources to diversify economic opportunities and improve quality of life for Pasadena citizens.
Pasadena is the second largest city in the Greater Houston MSA — an energized and powerful city, with a hint of a small town feel — a gateway to the globe, with an unbeatable location.
Pasadena is a growth sphere for the petrochemical value chain, logistics and distribution, retail, aerospace and healthcare industries.
PEDC works to support a strong business climate that encourages investment and increases purchasing power in the community, while also working to sustain Pasadena's status of being a great place to live, work, learn, play and invest.
PEDC's priorities include:
1. Strategic redevelopment of Historic Pasadena
2. Integrated small business development efforts through our #PasadenaLovesLocal program in partnership with the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and the City of Pasadena
3. Collaborative coordination of a skilled, agile workforce
4. Comprehensive marketing of Pasadena's economic assets
5. Amplified development of quality of life projects
6. Dedicated efforts in execution of catalyst projects recommended in our Economic Development Strategic Plan
