Our team in Nashua came together to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, where light triumphs over darkness. We also enjoyed a feast of authentic Indian food, making it a true cultural celebration. A heartfelt thanks to Anand Bhaskarwar, Himani Gandhi, Salil Joshi, Pradeep Marchala, and Satish Mudilair for the beautiful decorations and for sharing the meaning of each Diwali day, enriching us with its significance and traditions. In a recent Tech Talk by Adtran, our very own Nicolas Scheidecker, Head of UK R&D, shared how the groundbreaking DSIT-funded Proteus and DU-Volution projects are transforming Open RAN. By developing a 5G O-DU that runs seamlessly across Intel, AMD, and ARM CPUs, we are unlocking the full potential of Open RAN while improving energy efficiency and data capacity. This innovation is already in action, part of our main product and deployed in real-world use cases. What’s next? Expanding these capabilities further through the DU-Volution project, in partnership with Adtran as well as BT Group, Accelecom, University of York and The Scotland 5G Centre. Maximizing MIMO capabilities - We're using spatial separation to boost capacity while saving power. 2. Correcting errors with LDPC - By running LDPC more quickly and efficiently, we're cutting down power usage.
