"You, one single beautiful Mamavist joined a program. During your time here you’ve reached out to 50-75 people in your personal network! You collected your package Filled out the postcards And sent them out That is an act of Relational Organizing: an effective approach leveraging personal relationships to take action on a cause or issue. Because of your efforts Over 5,000 people are more issue informed and more likely to vote. These pictures are not only beautiful but revolutionary. Image after image of black and brown mamas across 14 states making this work happen !! We are the leaders of this work and through our relationships and capturing our own images we tell our own stories. Thank you for all that you’ve done and continue to do" - Nkenge Jazz Browner, Mothering Justice Mamavist Across the country, Mothering Justice mamavists are networking, mobilizing, and engaging with their community to VOTE! And we couldn't be more proud. Keep it up, Mamas!

#ClientNews Last week's Mothering Justice's Ballot Bash was a resounding success, thanks to the energy and dedication of the mothers, caregivers, and supporters who showed up with passion and purpose. A massive shoutout to our client, Mothering Justice, for spearheading such an impactful event that harnessed the collective voting power of women during this crucial election period. Founder Danielle Atkinson is a powerhouse of knowledge and passion. Recently, Mothering Justice unveiled findings from their groundbreaking nationwide survey. This survey, involving over 1,000 mothers, shines a light on their views about Project 2025—the Heritage Foundation's policy agenda for the next Republican president. The survey captures critical insights, particularly from Black and brown women, about proposals that could reshape essential support systems like Head Start, affordable housing, food assistance, and healthcare.

Danielle is the Founder and Executive Director of the grassroots advocacy organization Mothering Justice. With the 2024 election upon us, host Maya Rupert talks with Danielle about how the influence of BIPOC mothers is more important than ever. And what it looks like to build a future that truly centers families and caregivers. Listen to Good Things from Lemonada Media here: https://lnkd.in/gRiGD27u
