Shannon Stambaugh was promoted to Director of Patient Access/Health Information Management/Communications on July 29. She began her career in healthcare in 2000 as a Medical Transcriptionist at Graham Hospital. After homeschooling her son through high school, Stambaugh returned to healthcare and started in Health Information Management in 2018. She served as Supervisor of Patient Access at MDH prior to her promotion. Stambaugh and her husband, Tim, have been married 27 years and have one son, Ethan. She enjoys crocheting, knitting, volunteering at church, and spending time with her family. Congratulations, Shannon!

Sandy Hern was recently named the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle at McDonough District Hospital. She joined MDH in November 2017 as Director of Health Information Management. In June 2019 she took over as the Director of Patient Access. She oversaw Communications, Health Information Management, and Registration in her prior role. Now, she will supervise Patient Access and Patient Financial Services. Hern also serves as the hospital’s HIPAA Privacy Officer. Congratulations, Sandy!
