Earlier this year, the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance and Virginia Department of Energy recognized several Martin Marietta employees for achieving between 20 and 40 years of safe work in mining. This month, Martin Marietta's Women Who Build (WWB) employee resource group is raising awareness for three frequently diagnosed forms of cancers: breast cancer, prostate cancer and skin cancer. Throughout October, the group will provide information about risk factors and resources for cancer screenings. Plus, they are hosting a Distance Challenge to encourage an active lifestyle.
