FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Every day in Houston, over 80,000 preschool-aged children—1 out of 5—face uncertainty about their next meal. Harris County holds the highest rate of child food insecurity among highly populated areas in the nation, leaving many children with limited or unreliable access to sufficient, affordable, and nutritious food. Committed to making a difference, team members from all departments recently came together to support Kids' Meals, Inc., an organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in Houston. By packing lunches, we contributed to their mission of delivering free, healthy meals year-round directly to the doorsteps of Houston's most vulnerable preschool-aged children. Through this collaboration, we also support providing resources to families to help break the cycle of poverty.
