In honor of #WorldStrokeDay, we continue to elevate the voices of #strokesurvivors who remind us of our mission– to improve the quality of life for people affected by stroke. Katherine, a librarian, wife, and stroke survivor, recounts her stroke journey from arriving at the hospital to recovering at home with Kandu. “It was so valuable to me to know that there were people who knew what I was going through,” she says. “I’m proud of all I’ve done, but I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Kandu’s support.” Hear more from Katherine and many other stroke survivors at https://lnkd.in/ggTYgXrP #EmpoweringStrokeSurvivors

We are proud of our #ImperativeCare team for volunteering their time to support Second Harvest of Silicon Valley in the fight against hunger! Together, they sorted over 6,600 pounds of food to help provide nutritious meals to kids, families, and seniors across the South Bay. Last week, the #ImperativeCare team came together to increase awareness of the devastating impact of #bloodclots in honor of #WTD24. Although many cases are preventable, 1 in 4 people die of #thrombosis. We enjoyed competing in a #WorldThrombosisDay Challenge, which aimed to educate team members on thrombosis prevention and support healthy habits. Thank you to everyone who participated and congrats to our winners! #MoveAgainstThrombosis

This week we mourn the loss of our cofounder, Dr. Leo Nelson "Nick" Hopkins after a very long and courageous battle with cancer. Nick was a dear friend to many of us, and a treasured Board member, but he was much more than that. He was one of the giants of neurovascular medicine – a pioneer in the field of minimally-invasive treatments, a teacher and mentor to hundreds of physicians, a true visionary and entrepreneur, and a devoted humanitarian whose rare clinical gifts and dedication touched the lives of thousands of patients. Nick’s legacy lives on through our work here at Imperative Care, and his dream of giving patients a better chance at full recovery remains central to our mission.

Our #ImperativeCare Employee Spotlight continues with Vida Sollanek, Regulatory Affairs professional and avid volunteer. From mentoring underserved high school students to supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of her cousin, Vida is dedicated to giving back. Her family is closely involved with the Celiac Disease Foundation, a cause that's close to their hearts due to their oldest child's autoimmune disease. For Vida, volunteering "feeds her soul" and is a way to uplift others. We are so inspired by the positive impact she makes on the lives of others - both inside and outside of Imperative Care!

Thank you to our incredible interns for your hard work and dedication this summer! We're proud to support the next generation of medtech innovators and look forward to seeing your future success in the classroom and in the industry.
Fourth Year Biomedical Engineering Student at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo
I recently completed an 11 week internship as a Vascular R&D Product Development Intern at Imperative Care. I had such an amazing experience this summer! I learned so much about the MedTech industry, and got to contribute to a medical field I am very passionate about. This program exceeded my expectations; I feel like I was really immersed into the design process of the Biomedical Engineering industry. It was a pleasure to work with so many kind, helpful, and intelligent individuals who are all so passionate about elevating patient care and making a positive impact on their community. Thanks Imperative Care and Imperative Care Vascular for a great summer!
