HomeFirst, in partnership with work2future, recently hosted a successful job fair that brought together 25 vendors offering on-the-spot job opportunities and connections to employment. Trade schools, staffing agencies, and a range of employment resources were available to support the 150 job seekers who attended. Our team was on hand to assist with applications and provided computers for participant use at the event. Thanks to generous donations, we also held a raffle and offered snacks and a light lunch for attendees and vendors. A huge thank you to the community agencies that joined us—many went the extra mile by transporting their participants to the event. HomeFirst recently attended the North Bay Housing Solutions Summit in Petaluma, hosted by Generation Housing. This impactful event brought together leaders and advocates to explore solutions to the housing crisis, with Generation Housing unveiling its State of Housing in Sonoma County report.   Our Director of Coordinated Entry, Hunter Scott, and Outreach Case Manager, Heather Jackson, represented HomeFirst, bringing with them their expertise and frontline experiences in the fight to end homelessness.   A special thank you to the City of Petaluma for funding our attendance. 🌿✨ We recently held an inspiring DIY Healing Garden Workshop at HomeFirst, drawing from Indigenous practices! 🌱 Our staff planted native California plants in compostable pots to take home, nurturing them into sources for stress-relieving teas and peaceful incenses.
