Thank you to everyone who participated in National Drug Take Back Day today! Together, we removed unneeded medications from our communities to prevent medication misuse and opioid addiction. Our HCSO teams were able to collect over 444 pounds of unwanted and expired medications to be properly disposed. Special thanks to Commissioner Debbie Goettel, Commissioner Marion Greene, and HCSO Community Advisory Board member Marc Laurie for joining us today. #NationalDrugTakeBackDay

Today, on National Day of the Deployed, we would like to express our gratitude to the brave men and women who selflessly serve our country. Here at the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office (HCSO), we understand the bravery and dedication it takes to sacrifice for public safety. Many of our team members not only serve their local communities, but also their countries. Our Sheriff's Military Activation and Reintegration Training (SMART) program supports our military employees and their families during a deployment as well as with returning to work after a deployment. Pictured here are just a few of our HCSO members who are currently deployed. Join us in sharing messages of support to the courageous heroes and their families. #NationalDayofTheDeployed #SupportOurTroops
