On a recent underground utility locate ticket, Veronica Acuna approached a homeowner to announce her presence. It was then she noticed a strong odor of gas coming from inside the house. Trusting her instincts, Veronica expressed her concerns to the homeowner and couldn't shake the uneasy feeling, prompting her to consult with her supervisor. Together, they decided it was best to contact the local utility's emergency line as a precaution. When the utility team arrived, they confirmed Veronica's suspicions and swiftly turned off the gas to prevent any potential danger. Hats off to Veronica for her quick thinking and dedication to keeping our communities safe!
