Who said buying and selling software can’t be fun? We recently wrapped up one of our most exciting and unconventional sales yet with Chess.com ♟️ Instead of the typical back-and-forth negotiations, we agreed to take things to the chessboard in a winner-take-all match for the final contract amount. Talk about a high-stakes match with a twist! While team Aleph was holding its weekly all-hands, Augusto Viotti Bozzini (Aleph) and Fiona Lam (Chess.com) battled it out on the board. In between team updates, we’d flash the game on Zoom to see how things were progressing. The story is much more exciting than the anticlimactic ending, which ended in a draw. We both agreed to meet in the middle on price and get on with our day, but a rematch is bound to happen in the near future. We’re always looking for innovative ways to make every partnership memorable, and this experience was one for the Aleph history books. Here’s to bringing the fun back to business! 🤝
