This week, Every Child Shines and MLPB partnered to bring housing policy information and legal resources to direct service staff supporting the East Boston community. Through a workshop led by a legal consultant, participants gained knowledge about tenant rights, proactive intervention strategies, and resources tailored to community needs. Attendees left feeling empowered, equipped with tools to guide families through the housing system more effectively. As part of this collaboration, MLPB is offering Office Hours in November and December with a legal consultant. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the housing material shared during the workshop as well as discuss any other legal issues that direct service staff have encountered while supporting families. We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Kraft Family in helping us renovate our Early Learners’ Jeffries Point location, addressing the critical issue of our gym roof. Without this space, our child care center lacked a gross motor room. During a wonderful visit, Josh Kraft, representing The Kraft Group & Affiliates Non-profit Emergency Fund, and Danubia Carmagos-Silva of The Boston Foundation toured the facility, met our students and staff, and saw the newly renovated space. We’re also thankful to the Gordon and Marjorie Osbourne Foundation, LIBERTY MUTUAL FOUNDATION INC Mutual Climate Resilience grant program, and an anonymous donor for their contributions. We couldn’t be more thrilled with this development! #renovation #support #childcare

We hosted our annual Community Baby Shower, a heartwarming event dedicated to supporting and celebrating expecting mothers. Attendees enjoyed access to essential baby supplies, resources, and a boutique where moms selected special items for their little ones.
