Last week, the Downtown Community Partnership (DCP) and the Downtown Fargo Business Improvement District (BID) had the opportunity to visit the St. Paul Alliance and the Downtown Improvement District (DID) in St. Paul, Minnesota to learn from our counterparts and exchange ideas. From facing daily operational tasks to navigating similar challenges, it was an insightful trip packed with takeaways. What stood out most was St. Paul’s security and safety protocols, showcasing how businesses can collaborate to create a safer, more cohesive downtown community. 💡 We’re excited to bring these ideas back to Fargo and continue strengthening the vibrancy and safety of Downtown Fargo for businesses, residents, and visitors alike. 🌆 #DowntownFargo #StPaul #BusinessImprovementDistrict #DowntownImprovementDistrict #Collaboration #SafetyFirst #DowntownVibrancy

Executive Director at Downtown Community Partnership | Economic Development | Policy Advocate | Community Engagement Leader
The Downtown Community Partnership has actively partnered with The City of Fargo and many local experts to bring attention to the City's Housing First initiatives, including those presented by James Mathy from Milwaukee. A key aspect of Mr. Mathy’s presentation was to emphasize that supporting local businesses and addressing homelessness are not mutually exclusive goals; they are, in fact, complementary and critical to the health of our community.
