No matter your industry or role, we all sit through meetings. The best part? You can positively influence any meeting, regardless of the topic or structure. One powerful way to do this is by focusing on how you can contribute. Read on for ways to bring positive energy to your meetings. 🔋 Set the tone Every meeting has energy. Decide what kind you want to create and bring it with you. 👀 Observe the energy Pay attention to the meeting's pulse. Is there a strong flow, or does it feel stagnant? If you notice energy dipping, refocus and find ways to re-engage yourself and others. 🤔 Check in with yourself Are you engaged? If not, why? Identify what’s distracting you and find ways to refocus. 👥 Observe others Are they engaged? If not, how can you bring them in? Sometimes, asking a thoughtful question or bringing in a bit of humor can reignite energy in the room. 🚀 Contribute, don’t just take Instead of focusing on what you're getting from the meeting, shift your mindset to how you can contribute. For example: – If you feel the group has gone down a “rabbit hole,” speak up and get everyone back on track. – If others seem unsure but aren't asking questions, ask for clarity—even if you already know the answer. – Don’t be afraid to inject humor where appropriate—it can revitalize the conversation and break tension. This is just one way to make an impact. Positive energy is contagious and can transform the meeting for everyone involved. How do you keep meetings engaging and productive? Drop your thoughts in the comments—your experience could help spark new ideas! #worktips #leadership #productivity #meetings

What do writers do when blank-page syndrome hits? 📖 AI can certainly be used as a crutch, but talented, experienced, *quality* writers have a few more tricks up their sleeves. Here are some tactics our team uses: ➡️ Turn Off Your Internal Editor: Start writing without worrying about whether it’s good or bad. Editing should come after completing a draft. ➡️ Embrace the Blankness: Use a large piece of paper or a whiteboard to freely write down everything that comes to mind without worrying about order or structure. This can help unlock ideas and connections between them. ➡️ Digital Version of Embracing the Blank Page: Open a new document and freely write or copy everything you know about the topic, including unrelated ideas. Use color coding to distinguish material you cannot use as written, and later reorder and structure your ideas into a coherent story. ➡️ Purposeful Procrastination: If stuck, take a short break to reset your brain. Engage in an activity unrelated to writing, like going for a walk or solving a puzzle, and return to your work with fresh energy. ➡️ Shift the Subject: If all else fails, work on something different for a while before returning to your project. Sometimes this change of focus can help break through the block. ➡️ Permission to Rewrite: Don’t aim for perfection on your first draft. Revisions are a natural part of the process, and it's okay to start over if necessary. Are you any less of a writer for using AI? No. But don't forget what makes communication so valuable: the human on the other side. What are some of your favorite ways to tackle first drafts? Let us know in the comments. #content #AI #marketing #writingtips

The average American spends 4-6 hours a day on their phone. 🤳⏱️ That’s a huge opportunity for marketers to capture attention. As media consumption habits evolve, mastering the art of crafting a strong hook is more important than ever. A hook needs to break through the noise and provide a clear reason to engage. While there are many ways to create an effective hook, it often comes down to understanding which part of the story will make your audience want to learn more. As Matt Hansink, Solutions Director, says: “Whether it’s a hook to grab attention or a call-to-action to convert, great storytellers deeply understand their audience—contextually, emotionally, and with nuance.” Effective hooks that capture attention include: ✅ A perspective or fact that challenges the norm ✅ Affirming an unspoken, but widely-held belief ✅ A bold statement with significant implications if true Want to captivate your audience? DM us "HOOKS" for more storytelling techniques for marketers.
