At Blue Ridge Power, we are dedicated to making a positive difference in the communities we serve. We are excited to share the launch of the Pine Gate Renewables Community Impact Fund, which has been established as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting charitable initiatives, especially during this crucial recovery period for Western NC. This relief fund will be made possible through the generous support of Pine Gate Renewables, Blue Ridge Power, ACT Power Services, and contributions from our valued corporate partners. By uniting our resources and efforts, we aim to significantly increase our ability to provide assistance and aid to a greater number of individuals as they work to rebuild their lives. We are all in this together. #brpstrong #rebuildandrestore #westernnorthcarolina #hurricanerelief

Pine Gate Renewables, together with its subsidiaries Blue Ridge Power and ACT Power Services, announced the establishment of a new philanthropic and community giving program, the Pine Gate Renewables Community Impact Fund. Before the end of this year, the Fund will donate $250,000 to eligible nonprofits working in communities within the Hurricane Helene FEMA Major Disaster Declaration areas. Additionally, Pine Gate Renewables has pledged to match every dollar donated to the Pine Gate Renewables Community Impact Fund in 2024, doubling the impact of each dollar donated by corporate and private partners. As an Asheville-based renewable energy enterprise with a third of its workforce located in areas impacted by Hurricane Helene, the Pine Gate Renewables Community Impact Fund launched as an employee-led initiative to support the nonprofit organizations leading storm response and recovery efforts. In the future, the fund will also support community organizations where the company develops and operates renewable energy projects. Eligible organizations are invited to apply for grants that provide measurable, positive impacts to those located in the Hurricane Helene FEMA Major Disaster Declaration areas across the Southeast. A Huge Thank You to Jones Power! We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our amazing partner, Jones Power, for their incredible support in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. On Friday, Jones Power brought their mobile relief truck to Asheville and over the weekend served 4,000 meals to those in need. Their efforts have been a beacon of hope for our community during this challenging time. They plan to stay all week and expect to serve 15,000 hot meals by the end of their time here. This generous contribution is making a significant difference, and we are truly grateful to have such dedicated partners standing with us in recovery. Thank you, Jones Power, for showing what true partnership and compassion look like! #CommunitySupport #Gratitude #RecoveryTogether #JonesPower #HurricaneHelene

We were honored to join hands with the Fayetteville Woodpeckers as a community leader for the 3rd Annual Back to School Bash.  Serving the communities where we build, live, and work is of utmost importance to BRP. We are committed to empowering students in Cumberland and surrounding counties as they begin a new school year filled with learning and boundless opportunities!

Bunker and his friends weren’t the only ones that had a great time on Friday as we held our 3rd Annual Back to School Bash! With the generous donations from various sponsors, we were able to stuff almost 1,500 bags this year for K-12 school aged students. Alongside the school supplies, free books and clothing were also given away, and free haircuts were supplied on site by the Barber Coalition of Fayetteville as DJ Moladic kept the music flowing while everyone anxiously awaited to get inside.    Though we encountered a little rain throughout the day, we were able to give out hundreds of backpacks, with the remaining supplies given away to various other school supply bashes in the area, including Giving Back Warm Hugs in Fayetteville and the Alpha Alpha Gamma Sigma Alumni Chapter in Spring Lake.    We couldn’t hold a giveback event like this without the assistance of our community partners, community leaders, and other local organizations. Thank you to everyone who donated in time, effort, and supplies to make this impact felt throughout Cumberland, Harnett, Moore, and Hoke counties. We reached a lot of families this weekend, and it wouldn’t be possible without you!

Employee safety is a top priority for Blue Ridge Power, and we are taking steps to ensure that our employees are prepared to handle any emergency. We identified the need for First Aid, CPR, and AED training. The Learning & Development team organized training sessions at various locations including both our offices and sites. As a result of these efforts, we are proud to announce that we now have 27 more Red Cross Certified employees. #SavingLives
