Meet Armando Villalpando, bakery director at our Aspire Bakeries’ Santa Ana, California bakery. Armando leads his team in producing delicious cookies, brownies, and other sweet baked goods for our customers. He is a big fan of our chocolate chip cookies!
A valued member of the Aspire Bakeries team for 12 years, Armando held roles in Food Safety & Quality Assurance before taking over the bakery director role. He attributes his career success to the growth and development opportunities that have been available to him at Aspire Bakeries. “Supportive leadership, along with colleagues that genuinely care and provide support make all the difference in the world,” he says.
When he’s not working, Armando considers himself an “elder Nerd” who enjoys building his stash of collectables, from trading cards to action figures, with his two children. He has a background in visual media arts and finds peace in creating model figures.
When reflecting on his Hispanic culture and growing up in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood, Armando credits his parents for instilling in him their drive for a better life, regardless of the surroundings. “I choose to remember the bright moments of community, family, and friendships, and that is what drives me today. I take the generations before me everywhere I go and look forward to continuing to push our legacy, our drive, and determination for a better life.”
Aspire Bakeries is proud to recognize Hispanic Heritage Month. Thank you to Armando and our many employees of Hispanic and Latin American background for helping us be the best at what we do! #HispanicHeritageMonth
