In a new trial involving men who have sex with men and trans and gender nonconforming people, injectable PrEP was shown to be 89% more effective at preventing HIV transmission than oral PrEP. It will now go to regulatory committees for approval, but fair pricing and equitable access are going to be key in order for this exciting new tool to meet its clinical potential.
