AMS Global Update: Our Executive Director, Munir Shivji, along with an AMS delegation, had the profound honor of visiting Shreyas Foundation in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India—an educational institution that beautifully integrates the philosophies of Maria Montessori, Rabindranath Tagore, and Mahatma Gandhi. Founded in 1947, Shreyas is set on a stunning 28-acre wooded campus and offers education from pre-kindergarten through 10th grade. As one of the pioneering Montessori schools in India, it was established with Dr. Maria Montessori herself as its first president. Over the years, Shreyas has evolved into a multilingual day and residential center, with a strong commitment to the welfare, spiritual growth, and character development of its students.
