Setting the standard for combustion control of gas-fueled industrial engines.

About us

1953 Work commenced in downtown Youngstown, Ohio on a revolutionary, transistorized, continuous spark ignition system that used a continuous alternating current discharge across the spark electrodes. 1955 The Economy Engine Company was founded to commercialize the continuous spark ignition system. 1964 The Economy Engine Company moved to new facilities in Liberty Township, Ohio, a suburb of Youngstown. The company focus shifted to filling the need for a reliable ignition system to replace magnetos on critical, continuous operation industrial engines. 1969 The Altronic Division moved to a 10,000 sq ft facility, its current location at 712 Trumbull Avenue in Girard, Ohio. 1977 The plant was physically expanded by an additional 2000 sq ft. 1981 Production facilities were doubled to 24,000 sq ft, with an additional 4,000 sq ft acquired the following year in a nearby facility to house the new digital instrument division. 1984 The Altronic Division of the Economy Engine Company became Altronic, Inc. 1986 The digital instrumentation production facility was enlarged to 16,000 sq ft. 1988 Altronic Controls, a wholly-owned subsidiary, was established in Garland, Texas, to design and manufacture customer gas compressor monitoring and control packages. 1994 A major expansion combined the two separate production facilities into a single, 52,000 sq ft plant. 1996 An 8,500 sq ft Engineering and Development Center was constructed on newly-acquired land near the production facility. 2006 State-of-the-art ignition coil manufacturing was initiated in the Girard facility in a new 12,000 sq ft production area. 2009 Altronic was purchased by HOERBIGER Holding AG, Zug, Switzerland and became the lead plant of the new Engine Solutions business unit. 2010 Altronic, Inc. transitioned to Altronic, LLC. and an 8,500 sq ft addition to the Engineering facility was made to house the Altronic Sales and Service departments. 2016 Altronic, LLC, became part of the HOERBIGER Engine Division.

Our team is currently in the thick of an exciting compressor upgrade campaign for a major gas plant, showcasing our expertise with a full design, construct and installation of three custom Zone 2 rated compressor control panels, consisting of a CompactLogix controller, Altronic LLC Detonation Control Unit, BossPac Technologies vibration monitoring system and a Red-Lion HMI. Each panel is also accompanied by two pre-fabricated instrument manifold panels to make for a more seamless transition for a full compressor upgrade package. We’re proud to be leaders in electrical and instrumentation solutions, specialising in hazardous areas, instrumentation & control, and complex electrical installations. With years of experience under our belts, especially in the oil & gas sector, we know gas compressor systems inside and out. Check out a few snaps of our crew hard at work in the workshop making this all happen! 📸💪 If you have a project or a design you would like our assistance with, get in touch! 📞 07 5391 4001 📧 info@hamilton-au.com 🌐 www.hamilton-au.com #Hamilton #Instros #ElectricalContractor #Electrician #Instrumentation #ProcessControl #ElectricalEngineering #HazardousAreas #GasCompressors #ElectricalSolutions #InstrumentationControl #HamiltonCrew #OilAndGasInnovation #Zone2Ready #TechInAction

Consolidation. We installed a DE-4000 control panel for a customer to monitor 60 inputs while reusing their existing AFR and Ignition into one panel. We added a Actucom Electronic Governor to get rid of the existing I/P air to head Governor as well. This control panel has advanced trending of all monitoring points as well as Multi Device Interface (MDI) on the HMI to view the AFR, Gov, and Ignition systems over RS485.

Wes #MakesADifference Let us introduce you to Weston Wagner, he began his journey as a wireman 15 years ago in a small Ohio facility and has now grown into his role as Business Developer Manager at Altronic LLC. His career growth shows just how much his determination, along with the support of his family and team, has meant. For Wes, leadership means being present and recognizing that the team effort drives success. “𝑀𝑦 𝑏𝑖𝑔𝑔𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑎𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝑠𝑒𝑒𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑠𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑜𝑓 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑒𝑙 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑝 𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑝𝑎𝑠𝑡 𝑓𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑦𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑠. After joining Altronic, Wes discovered that his grandfather had worked at the company for over 35 years. “𝑀𝑦 𝑓𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑦 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑑 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑛𝑒𝑑 𝐼 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑗𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑎𝑚𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑦 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑚𝑦 𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑝𝑎 𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑚𝑜𝑠𝑡 𝑜𝑓 ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑟.
