Aither Health is a healthcare solutions company offering a full suite of innovative products and services for third-party administrators and risk bearing entities such as self-funded employers, health plans and providers. We founded Aither to help disrupt this country’s disastrous healthcare market. We work to reduce health care cost trends by applying our unique service model, selecting appropriate transparent vendor partners and building collaborative health care service delivery models. We believe in putting the physicians back in charge of health care. With our help, physicians can emphasize and prioritize the intrinsic power of the relationship with a patient to improve health outcomes and lower overall health care costs. We’ve turned down investments from private equity firms in order to remain completely independent. Today, independence is extremely important. Often companies are unable to do the “right” thing if they are only motivated by the bottom line or are focused on positioning the company for an exit event. This “bottom line pressure” creates risk for other innovators in the market who may be utilizing the products and services as a private labeled solution. We’re building our Aither Army to help us positively disrupt within our sphere of influence. Innovative Innovative people disrupt whole industries with their ideas. That’s our goal. We know the key difference between creativity and innovation is execution. Everyday our Aither associates will innovate and execute on behalf of all our client partners. Transparent Industry transparency is coming but we can’t wait. From day one we are embracing the value of true transparency with our client partners. We want to build trust and solidify long-term mutually beneficial relationships. Independent Aither Health is privately owned without private equity backing. As we’re concluding Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this September, we celebrate Kara Skrubis, a courageous new member of the Aither Health team. At just 23, Kara has bravely battled Osteosarcoma and is now in remission. Her recent advocacy trip to Washington, D.C., where she shared her story with lawmakers, exemplifies her dedication. Serving as the Junior Advisory Board Manager for MIB (Make It Better) for Kids with Osteosarcoma, Kara and her peers advocated for the Give Kids a Chance Act and the reauthorization of the Creating Hope Act. These bills allow for the usage of combination drugs in pediatric chemotherapy treatments, which is a vital way to allow patients to start treatment as soon as their cancer is identified. The Creating Hope Act will also place pediatric oncology treatment research at the top of the FDA’s approval list, recognizing the importance in pediatric protocols. The efforts have paid off thus far, with the bill passing in the House and moving forward to push for Senate approval. Kara’s resilience and impact inspire us all!
