I will Build strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers. A strategic partnership approach can help align their operations more closely with my OEE objectives. Addition to that I will provide clear KPIs with clear objectives & monitor them with regular audits and recognize their performance with incentive. Also provide training support need to excel in meeting my operational excellence.

As OEE is supposed to be used to identify equipment losses in order to reduce these, one can analyse and quantify these losses per type. A good root cause analysis can then identify which losses actually have a root cause that lies within the sphere of control of the supplier. You can setup a joint improvement initiative with the supplier and use a systematic problem solving approach (like e.g., TBP) to improve and reduce these losses. I do not see the need to give every supplier insight in all your OEE losses and results. Just the ones that are of interest to them

The involvement of the key strategic suppliers in regular performance reviews and in the never-ending implementation of (possibly) a joint operating system striving for lean excellence will ensure motivation and commitment to an always improving OEE.
