IMHO, I have seen people jumping to conclusions, rather than first focusing on the bigger picture/problem which needs to be solved. Net, proper analysis of requirement, coupled with right set of technical tools is the key here.

Validate the accuracy and reliability of the data through rigorous analysis and verification processes. This step ensures that you have a clear understanding of the underlying information before proceeding.

If the data insights are right, listen to the data and probe areas of conflicts with business goals. Data shows reality and business goal is an expectation, if there is a conflict it could mean that the business is not conducted right, which could lead to diagnosing the root cause and take the recourse to achieve the business goals.

After confirming the accuracy of the data, align BI insights with your business goals. This involves revisiting and potentially refining your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to better reflect the current insights and strategic objectives. Prioritize insights that directly contribute to achieving these goals, focusing on those with the most significant impact on business outcomes.
