Also, have foundations clear. Identify data domains, data objects , sources, flows and build the previous topics upon that. It may sound obvious buts that’s mainly the struggle these days with data in all places without clear view of where is coming and going. Having this map, is easier to build controls, monitor, create changes, mine, etc .
