You're balancing stakeholder demands in Business Architecture. How can you uphold the design's integrity?

Early engagement of diverse of stakeholders, right from the C-level folks upto the actual end users is key to success. It often happens, end users have easier tools and tips to complex problems - considering they do the job day in out!

In addition to knowing and understanding the key stakeholders, a governance framework should be in place to guide, steer and define the rules of engagement. Principles, policies, and rules should be established qprior to stakeholder engagement. This governance framework will act as the foundation for making design integrity decisions based for all stakeholder demands. It is vitally important to know how to determine what is a valid demand and what is not. Without the governance framework in place, stakeholder demands will be based on emotional decisions, which will impact the design integrity.

Identify and engage diverse stakeholders, from C-suite to end-users. Listen actively to gather requirements, but don't just nod along - educate 'em on constraints too. It's like herding cats, but with more PowerPoint. Use TOGAF ADM to keep the big picture in focus while juggling those conflicting demands.

Knowing the stakeholder and understanding each stakeholder's expectation is key to Business Architecture. If the goal of organisation and its stakeholders dont match, no matter how detailed and well structured the Business Architecture is it will not achieve the desired results.

Any architecture requires flexibility to be successful. It starts with broader vision and broader stakeholder involvement. This ensures success and better alignment with the business.
