Here is a quick how to that has help many individuals I know navigate this. When you receive the offer thank them and ask for time to consider. Then email with this language: I would be excited to accept this offer today if I can secure a base pay of... relocation expenses of... a start date of... paid time off of... etc. In my experience people expect you to negotiate and you are worth it!!

Simply say what you think you doing the job in question is worth (just because you are a brain surgeon doesn't mean you get that for stacking shelves). You should also tell them what you consider to be the minimum that job would be worth but that you will walk away if the offer is below what you think your worth to be. If the employer doesn't hit somewhere between YOUR minimum and target, walk away, they do not value you as much as you value yourself. Any union between the two of you must be based on a shared understanding of worth within set parameters.

Erläutern Sie Ihre Ziele und wie Sie durch Ihre Mitarbeit nachhaltige Veränderungen herbeiführen möchten. Beispiel: "Meine Leidenschaft für … entsteht durch ehrenamtliche meine Tätigkeiten. Ich möchte meine Fähigkeiten im Projekt- und Fördermanagement nutzen, um Ihre Initiativen effizienter zu gestalten und langfristige, positive Veränderungen zu erzielen." Gehaltliches würde ich offen erfragen aber dabei bitten ehrlich die Möglichkeiten aufzuzeigen.

If you did that, you might be resentful, and that's not going to put you in a mindset to do a great job.
