Promoting open dialog is extremely important, as long as it doesn't stop there. All to often staff is encouraged to exchange and at the end of the dialog things simply return to the same way they started. If staff input is to be truly regarded, then the ideas need to be tested for validity to see if can be part of the treatment.

Some executives scoffed at the idea of being on the level with their employees, but quickly started singing new tunes
