We followed the BPM process first to build our global supply chain's discovery map and process map. By doing a process analysis using work/wait time, cycle time, process participants, cost, and activities details, we identified the process gaps and areas of automation. The next step is to choose the right automation software that fits the organization's BPM and is integrated with ERP and IT systems. We used both UiPath and Powerautomate to design the to-be workflows and RACI charts to align the automation scope and its outcomes.

I would be amazed if any business decisions in an enterprise are still made today without using a component of data analytics. Even at the consumer level, data analytics plays probably more than 90% in making our day-to-day decisions. One of the most common use cases of data analytics and its power to decision making that I can share is our Car's speedometer data. Usually, a consumer's car speedometer data is offline and not connected to a server. Connecting this data to the server of car manufacturers can allow them to get insights into average miles per day (AMPD)for users, average speed, etc. Mapping it with location can allow fuel pumps and car service requests to be planned and automatically triggered for higher AMPD user areas.

One example of the customer engagement tool that we use to understand our internal customers' feedback for supply chain tools is by " rate this tool" feature link on each key tool's UI. This allows our internal customers to provide direct feedback promptly in minutes. By combining the feedback and categorizing it by UI, data, and business rules and then derive actionable and owners to take action.
