Define "Triggers" & "Dominos" Resources, such as money, time, and people are always scarce in the corporate sustainability team. When I lead the integration of sustainability into the mid-term strategy and its implementation in a 3000-people multinational firm, analyzing the external environment and internal situation was the key in defining "triggers" and "dominos." Triggers are the actions you commit to and the dominos are the products/outcome of your action. Once you list the items for action, prioritize in terms of urgency but also the degree of its influence in impacting the other items you listed, considering stakeholders involved. If your team can see correlation between triggers and dominos, that's a sign of success.
