What do you do if your personal growth is taking a backseat to work demands in Telecommunication Services?

Personal growth is made up of two words growth and Personal right ? Professional growth is again Growth and professional. Can we make true list of growth we want ti see for us? Sometimes we misunderstand and feel they can never be aligned or alike. Some growth that can make u fulfilling and happy can go via Professional or Personal vice versa. So it is important that when u make the list ur not dreaming or influenced. You are practical and very clear. Secondly if u see that clarity gives u that 3 or 4 goals are already achieved means ur on track. Now for remaining u need ti see where how and what could be the reason of not able ti achieve. U may find either the reason to tweak ur goals or ways to achieve step wise timeline wise.

Las exigencias laborales en cuestiones tecnológicas, de acuerdo a mi experiencia, cada vez serán más demandantes y es muy común ver personas cada vez con menos habilidades de interacción, muy buenos en cuestión de conocimientos pero pésimos para tratar a las personas que llega un momento que no sabes que hacer con ellos en la organización, porque son conflictivos, arrogantes y muy inseguros al trabajar en equipos de trabajo. Definir el propósito de cada persona en la organización ayuda a desarrollar agendas de desarrollo que permitan considerar el desarrollo personal y habilidades blandas que son necesarias en los nuevos equipos eficientes de trabajo, y que la persona tenga tiempo para atender su crecimiento personal.

Un ejemplo que he visto de grandes lideres empresarios, es que ellos llevan su agenda de acuerdo a sus prioridades, y si, en ocasiones puede haber un desgaste en diferentes aspectos o frustración. Cuando te das cuenta que ya no estás desarrollando o creciendo como persona, puede verse reflejado de diferentes maneras, estrés, frustración, indiferencia, cansancio, bornout etc. Aquí es importante hacer un alto, y volver a definir nuestras prioridades y volver a conectar con nosotros sin tratar de agradar o quedar bien con los demás, es momento de definir que necesito para ser un mejor yo.

We get what we tolerate. We need to PRE-establish how we want things and what we will do and create and we need to always seek a win/win beginning with YOU FIRST!! Just like on an airplane with an oxygen mask you put it on you first and then small children and others as if you are not good. The people around you are not either. Self-care is our healthcare and it’s necessary and cannot be skipped over. We must always honor ourselves first and then the world around us.

A mi me ha resultado útil el hacer un contrato personal conmigo, donde defino en diferentes aspectos para mejorar. En el aspecto físico o biológico. En el aspecto psicológico. En el aspecto social o interpersonal. En el aspecto profesional o laboral. En el aspecto espiritual. El trabajar en todos estos aspectos requiere ponerle límites a otros.

Know that if your time management method is solid, you will be moving each day at the optimal pace to completing what you can. Personal growth will not be sacrificed, but nurtured along the way.

I've found that combining prioritisation strategies with clear boundaries helps in achieving this balance. For example, I use time-blocking to allocate specific periods in my day for both work tasks and personal development. This approach ensures that I'm not just reacting to immediate demands but also consistently investing in long-term growth.

What I appreciate most about these interactions is the ability to exchange ideas in real time, which often sparks innovative approaches to both personal and professional challenges.

Reflection and evaluation are the highest levels of learning. We should always reflect on what worked and what didn’t work and what we could put in that would make it that much better and consistently and always reassess.

Include transcendence in your reflections. Sometimes there is nothing you can do at the moment to change your circumstances. Therein lies your persona growth challenge. Transcend and from that space of awareness and observation, gain grit, endurance, perspective, and patience until the time comes when you can make a change.

I’ve found that setting aside time for self-reviews not only helps in tracking progress but also in realigning goals with my evolving priorities. Journalling has been particularly beneficial for me, as it provides a space to articulate thoughts, challenges, and achievements, making the journey of personal growth more tangible. It's a reminder that personal and professional development are intertwined and that mindful reflection is key to sustaining long-term success and fulfillment.
