Clients will always push for faster throughput and outcomes from their consulting partners. Here are some tips to manage this tricky scenario:
1) Sit down with the client project sponsor and walk through the current targets and proposed timeline to achieve. Explain the uncertainties that have been factored - both external and internal.
2) Try to show frequent progress reports (subject to measurement) on Sustainability targets. Extrapolate these to show the “pace” or “rate” of achieving future targets.
3) Benchmark Sustainability targets and timeline with industry standards and showcase this comparison to the client leaders.
