But you can minimize the unplanned delays through a solid change control process, dedicated and available resources, and the full backing of management. It's all about communication and keeping track of slow downs due to errors, quality changes, material changes, supplier delays, etc. Nothing can be taken for granted, everything must be checked and verified until completed and everyone agrees it's completed.
