When facing unexpected market changes having a culture of agility already embedded within the company immediately gives you an advantage because you know in those moments you need to shift focus to working on the business versus working in the business. For those that don't have a culture of agility, it will be challenge, but not impossible to adjust. Bring your team together so you all can collaborate and share eachother's diversity of perspective, expertise, and intel that each can bring to the surface. You will need to create a safe environment free of ego embracing experimentation where failure is seen as a lesson to learn from, not instilling fear of reprecussions hindering opportunities.

In the fluid market where fluctuations happens in short span of time due to business priorities, IT and Business budget, delays due to inflight programmes and external parties dependencies, it is important for the entire Business, IT and Management teams to be ready to accommodate new talents with innovation like AI/ML techniques, SaaS based tools, Cloud Migration, Target Operating Model changes, Continual Trainings, Leveraging Experience Pool etc. which can help business targets, budgets and priorities to achieve in short span of time aligned to corporate vision, environment friendly business and social responsibility to the communities and welfare in large.

We need to adapt agility in Professional work, to make success of project good coordination and collaboration is required. Change can be success, or it can be failure. Failure is the lesson learned and Success is the Happiness.

Communication is a very wide term and it needs to be channeled and aligned to the vision, problem statement and resolution. From vision perspective, it needs to come from top management for the entire team to collaborate and work together to achieve. From Problem Statement perspective, it needs ideas from each team member to understand their thoughts. From Resolution perspective, the options given by each team member for resolution needs in depth analysis of ideas by experienced leaders aligned to long and short term vision alignment, ways to implement, impact on adaptability and on the communities at large.

Personally, I believe communication is key when navigating a disaster or market shift. Without proper communication, neither the company nor its employees can be on the same page. Employees often struggle to understand the changes, especially when the traditional approach has been to handle audits or internal reviews without effectively communicating the problems or decisions to them.

Use a management system to build a rhythm to your work and how you work together as an organization designing communication touch points to reduce the need for meetings all the time will accelerate earnings and maximize the team's potential. Management systems can feel constraining at first. As you master a system, you discover that having a system allows you to respond to internal and external changes much faster. This is where you learn that more meetings do not equate to productivity or high-performing teams. Never silo communication. Hold weekly and quarterly all-staff meetings to share what is happening, why it matters, what the business wants to do to respond, and how you want the team to help. And, how you will measure success.

Communication is indeed the cornerstone of adaptability, but communication without trust is nothing. When challenges arise, if trust hasn’t been built, the team won't buy into your message, regardless of how clear or frequent the communication is. Trust is the foundation that ensures your words are heard and believed, especially during tough times.

Employees need to see themselves in the vision and strategy. They need to know that their contribution will have a positive impact on the business. Trust and accountability empower teams to perform at their highest level. In Jim Collins' book "Good to Great", he speaks about having the right people in the right seats. In EOS, an accountability chart is created so everyone knows what they are accountable for delivering. Clarity of role and responsibilities, explicit accountabilities, and permitting them to make the best decisions for the business without needing constant oversight or micromanagement. When you put the right people in the right seats and then give them the trust and resources to do their job, adaptability flourishes.

Continuous learning should be incorporated into the management system and allocated resources to ensure you are incentivizing curiosity and upskilling. If you invest in your people's skills and knowledge, they are likely to be loyal to you for a long time. If you want them to learn outside of work, you can expect them to pick skills they want to learn to help them leave rather than upskilling to fill the gaps you have within the team to drive growth or implement change.

Work in short iterative cycles. So you can anticipate and act on unexpected market shifts. You get early on and more feedback and you can pivot more easily.
