The problem with a question like this one is the word “unconscious.” You can’t know because you don’t know. It’s unconscious.

Use inclusive language, avoiding gender-specific terms and exclusive references. Implement training to raise awareness of unconscious bias and celebrate diversity by sharing stories from different backgrounds. Ensure leadership prioritizes inclusivity. For instance, in my team, with members from Maharashtra and UP, we chose Hindi as our communication language, enabling everyone to contribute without feeling embarrassed about language barriers, which fostered a stronger team bond.

Empathy mapping, scenario setting, drill, drill, drill, get people speaking and having to explain their thinking and views.. Show them they have narrow thinking if they do or celebrate when they don't, use lateral thinking exercises to show them their bias.
