Throw regular f***up parties to create a safe space for sharing failures. Nothing builds trust and pushes growth like owning your screw-ups over a few beers. Free up time for learning: - Run a book club where people actually read the damn book. - Give everyone 4 hours a week to work on whatever crazy non-work project lights their fire. - Host "show and tell" sessions where people share new skills they've picked up, from coding to cocktail mixing. Shake things up: - Randomly assign people to shadow someone in a totally different role for a day. - Send teams on field trips to weird places for fresh perspective. - Bring in speakers who'll challenge the status quo and make people uncomfortable (in a good way).

I would recommend that leader must encourage cross learning sessions within the team. Monthly, one of team members would be summarizing a book (s)he has read and share with the rest of the team the key learning topics, and how the team can benefit from. Also, part of the session is open discussion from the audience for further clarification. Leader should also participate (Leading by example). By doing this, the full team is growing their learning knowledge. Also, give the presenter "team member" the opportunity to practice presentation skills in a safe environment. Do not forget to recognize this activity as a team and share it as a model to grow teams' knowledge to other functions.

I have found reward and reinforcement very useful in creating a culture of continuous learning for organisations very helpful. When individuals or teams are rewarded it motivates them to learn and it inspires others to imbibe a learning culture.

My personal mantra is: "Learn from anyone, anytime". I approach others with that attitude. In todays fast changing world, it is impossible to be expert on everything. Thus, learn what others know, learn their passions, what they are good at. Recognize them for that - authentically and with genuity. Then, collaborate and contribute to others' ideas. Share your passsions. Become a magnet for others to come to you for your experitse. Build a nurturing network of internal experts who motivate each other.
