You receive abrupt messages on mobile platforms. How do you uphold professionalism in your responses?

Never answer in the heat of the moment. Read the message properly to understand the perspective & context it comes from. Because it might come from a person with a very different view on the subject than you: first try to understand that (assuming here the message is relevant, not just somebody throwing up on you). And then respond based on data & facts (if possible) or based on your past experience served in a way that fits the senders perspective. Often people want to agree, but if no shared & agreed context, misunderstandings/miscommunication makes agreeing impossible

Critical thinking + brutal facts + focus on the solution. This is the way to answer and keep all in the same path. Always try to put the conversation in a correct way and using the correct process in order to avoid time lose and inefficiency.

I was working as an administrative assistant for a company. I received an email of something that the Director needed done in 1 hour. I had my other duties. I made sure that I read everything, and I sent an email clarifying that what I gathered from the email was correct and the way I was going to execute the template was what they wanted. I did this to ensure the end product was done correctly and that if changes needed to made, then that could be achieved within the time frame that was requested. I estimated that the template that I would create and add the 200+ employee names would take around 20 minutes, so if changes needed to be made then we would have time to make those changes.

"Thank you for getting in touch. I have taken it up with the concerned team member(s) and expect it to be resolved in (x)minutes/hours/days (whatever is your industry standard). Keep your response brief but thorough, as mobile communication often favors brevity.
