Do not 'promote' as that will create market structures which ultimately promotes consumption. Promote non consumption which only government can do. Create policy where recycled components should be at least 50 percent of a new product, by 2035.

Policies that can encourage investment in green technologies, that reward innovation and investment in this important area. Policies that avoid punishing existing supply structures, which might unintentionally damage the credability of political landscapes.

Trends demonstrated overtime, identify areas of potential improvement or change and factoring in the evolving surrounding, enables you to clear point out areas were you can optimize and reduce consumption

There are just so many reusable products and at the same time a constant demand for items to be used. However, people often do not proactively donate what they do not need anymore but rather simply throw stuff to the trash. Often due to lack of environmental awareness, lack of potential recipients or even lack of time, as people usually try to get rid of used stuff asap. In all cases, many used items are fully functional and useful to other people. Toys, books, clothes, tools, furniture, electronics are few examples of items that people always need and there are always people who do have them but do not need anymore. My advice is to always first reach within our circle or social media to either offer or ask for items before we buy new ones

Reusing should be the mantra for every activity and resource in each and every corporation. For example, every department/bay has at least one coffee machine. Has anybody asked what happens to the coffee residual inside that machine? Almost all that waste becomes garbage and ends up in landfills. That coffee residue is a very good manure. If the coffee machine company while refilling the beans can collect the waste and then sell it to a fertiliser/manure company or just start its own business in that sector. In that way, we have to evaluate each and every such process. That will certainly boost the circular economy.

DIY compost is great, but why not open it up further? Consider offering a composting option for food waste in your office; your office will get sustainable bragging rights, and you'll get extra nourishment for your future garden. Consider: Who will monitor the compost? What education & signage is required to make this effective? Do you have an appropriate receptacle?

One of the best ways to compost in your kitchen is to dedicate a small bin in your freezer. Not only does it keep your food scraps from getting stinky, if all of your food scraps go into the compost, your trash bin will never smell or attract fruit flies again!

More businesses talk about circularity than practice it. Look for take-back programs where brands take responsibility for their old products and actually turn them into new products. Many offer down-cycling and call it recycling. Few offer circularity.

I have never bought a brand-new laptop/computer before. I usually use platforms such as Gumtree or Facebook Marketplace, or visit walk-in stores like Cash Crusaders. However, as both a merchant and a buyer, I have concerns about the security of these transactions. I often hear stories of people being scammed. I believe that we need to create safer systems to facilitate these trades and empower buyers to participate in the circular economy with confidence.

Some societies are so fearful and overbearing that policies are designed and set to ensure that optimum is the minimum expectation. It is time to promote and encourage globally counscious citizens to practice good maintenance of your items and support businesses in the business of preserving goods.

Consider that circular economy does not always mean a linear circle, but also win-win-win exchange scenarios. When we designed a decentralized urban farming network in 2009, it was open-source. Everyone decided what they were willing to contribute and what they wanted to receive. For example, one person had two hours and a car to contribute and event though he was helping a farm, he received his craft beer and specialty coffee each week (as well as his eggs from the farm). The coffee brewer had the spent grain we needed to feed the chickens and the coffee roaster had the coffee chaff we needed for bedding. Everyone was co-producing the farmscape in an open exchange that contributed to a circular economy.

Government policy is key. Creating incentives for people to do good and dis-incentives for pollution and harmful effects to the population has been proven to consistently change habits over time

A simple practice to do the circular economy, when you buy some foods, you can use your food container. No plastic, no paper that is usually given from the food vendors. And if you have a food waste, you can give it to the organic waste processor or you can process it by yourself. In the other hand, if you have a land or a place to plant, you can do farming. The harvested plants can be served in your dining table. You plant your own food.

No one can be circular alone. The supply chain, or the business network, is key. Circular products can only be produced with circular inputs, and with an easy-to-access network of repairing, upcycling, refurbishing, and recycling. When thinking about how to be more circular, think about the partners you would need. You may even find new business opportunities you haven't thought of.
