The most important consideration, beyond previous posts, is breaking the mold…. Agile, waterfall, regulatory, lean, six sigma, continuous improvement, iterative, etc… and focusing on learning them all as a manger and building what works for your team! Teams are made up of unique individuals, with unique experiences, and perform different than their peers. Learn yourself, learn your team, and learn the different mythologies before implementing anything (or fail fast, fail often, and be flexible!)
