Section 212 of the Historic Environment (Wales) Act 2023 (“the 2023 Act”) brought the following provisions of that Act into force on 15 June 2023, which was the day after the Act received Royal Assent—

These Regulations, which are in nine Parts, amend various Regulations which make provision about, and in connection with, student finance.

These Regulations make provision about the resolution of disputes in relation to landlord’s consent and variations to the terms of a contract of tenancy of an agricultural holding under the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986 (c. 5) (“the 1986 Act”) and about applications to succeed to a tenancy of an agricultural holding under the 1986 Act.

This Order brings into force provisions of the Tertiary Education and Research (Wales) Act 2022 (“the Act”) and makes transitory and transitional provision in connection with the coming into force of certain provisions. This is the fifth order made by the Welsh Ministers under the Act. The previous (fourth) order provided for amendments to an earlier commencement order made by the Welsh Ministers under the Act.

Part 5 of the Digital Economy Act 2017 (“the Act”) allows specified persons listed in the Schedules to the Act to share information for specific purposes. Section 56(1) of the Act allows a specified person to share information with certain other persons for the purposes of preventing fraud against public authorities. Part 2 of Schedule 8 to the Digital Economy Act 2017 contains a list of Welsh bodies specified for the purposes of section 56(1). These Regulations remove the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales from that list and replace it with the Commission for Tertiary Education and Research.

These Regulations are made under section 146 of the Tertiary Education and Research (Wales) Act 2022 (“the 2022 Act”) which enables the Welsh Ministers to make provision for the purposes of, in consequence of, or for giving full effect to any provision of the 2022 Act.

These Regulations amend Schedule 5 of the Land Transaction Tax and Anti-avoidance of Devolved Taxes (Wales) Act 2017 (“the LTT Act”) to extend the 3 year replacement of main residence exception and refund period for higher rates residential property transactions provided by paragraphs 8 and 17 if the relevant circumstances are met.
Mae’r Rheoliadau hyn yn diwygio Atodlen 5 i Ddeddf Treth Trafodiadau Tir a Gwrthweithio Osgoi Trethi Datganoledig (Cymru) 2017 (“y Ddeddf TTT”) i estyn y cyfnod eithriad ar gyfer disodli prif breswylfa ac ad-dalu 3 blynedd ar gyfer trafodiadau eiddo preswyl cyfraddau uwch a ddarperir gan baragraffau 8 a 17 os bodlonir yr amgylchiadau perthnasol.
This Order is the second commencement order made by the Welsh Ministers under the Agriculture (Wales) Act 2023 (“the Act”).
Y Gorchymyn hwn yw’r ail orchymyn cychwyn sydd wedi ei wneud gan Weinidogion Cymru o dan Ddeddf Amaethyddiaeth (Cymru) 2023 (“y Ddeddf”).
These Regulations bring into force in Wales, on 1 September 2024, paragraphs 10 to 16 and paragraph 18 of Schedule 3 to, and, in part, section 36 of the Agriculture Act 2020 (c. 21) (“the Act”). These are the third commencement regulations under the Act which apply in relation to Wales.
