Residents appointed to Leduc’s boards and committees

Leduc Council approved public appointments for the City’s boards and committees during the City Council meeting on Dec. 11. On Jan. 8, Council will fill out the remaining Leduc Youth Council vacancies. 

City of Leduc boards and committees are established through bylaws in an advisory committee capacity to Leduc City Council. Appointed residents advise and make recommendations to City Council on a broad range of appropriate programs, services and activities that impact our growing community. 

"We appreciate each resident that has stepped up to the plate to volunteer their time and knowledge to one of the City’s boards and committees,” said City of Leduc Mayor Bob Young. “Leduc is a community that is worth investing in, and by joining a board or committee our residents contribute their passion and skills to help shape and improve the community they call home.”  

All appointments begin on Jan. 1 and conclude on Dec. 31, depending on their term length. 

Public appointments 

Assessment Review Board, three-year term 

  • Re-appointed: Camille Bailer 
  • Appointed: Leslie Lambert 

​Leduc Family and Community Support Services Board, three-year term 

  • Appointed: Kim Bedard, Lisa Cardinal 

​Leduc Environmental Advisory Board, three-year term 

  • Re-appointed: Ngaire Nix, Mindy Paradis 

Leduc Library Board (Three-year term) 

  • Appointed: Jeanette Giesbrecht, Shubhneet Puri, Leigh Sinclair

Leduc Parks, Recreation and Culture Board, two-year term 

  • Re-appointed: Tiffany Archie, Allan Ray McCubbing 
  • Appointed: Alan English 

Subdivision and Development Appeal Board, three-year term 

  • Re-appointed: Sharon Copithorne 
  • Appointed: Hugo Charles 

Youth Council, one-year term 

  • Re-appointed: Alexis Cummins, Erika Hawes, Ethan Lewis, Eric Losing, Noah Martin, Ayanda Muponda​
  • Appointed: David Qiao, Declan Wood
