The Oakland man shot and killed Saturday was just two days shy of his 39th birthday. He had been attending a high school reunion picnic in West Oakland. Family and friends celebrated his birth Monday, September 30. They say he would have gone to work to help the homeless on this day. They say the man's twin brother was also shot and killed almost exactly 16 years ago in East Oakland.
