San Francisco State cancels classes after anonymous threat

SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco State University canceled classes Thursday after receiving an anonymous threat.

The university instructed the campus community to shelter in place immediately.

Authorities have not provided additional details about the nature of the threat.

"If you are not on campus, do not come. Activities and classes are canceled for the day," the university said.

Campus police and local law enforcement are investigating.
