Ali Wong shows love to San Francisco during Golden Globes speech
SAN FRANCISCO - The Bay Area has delivered top-tier talent to the world, including entertainers Zendaya, E-40, and — Ali Wong.
Wong, a 42-year-old comedian and actress who has appeared in several series and Netflix stand-up specials, expressed her love for her hometown of San Francisco during her acceptance speech at the 82nd Golden Globes.
"I come from San Francisco, and that's where I started doing stand-up. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for all the stage time that I got there and all the practice that I got to become a stand-up comedian," Wong said. "I really want to thank Molly Schminke from the SF Punch Line comedy club."
