HUD requires communities to create Coordinated Entry Systems through which people who are, or are in danger of becoming homeless can access housing and services. Each Michigan county and certain larger cities have instituted these Entry Systems through their local Housing Assessment and Resource Agency (HARA). If you are homeless, or are in danger of becoming homeless please contact your local HARA by clicking here or by simply dialing 2-1-1 on your phone (844-875-9211) or by texting your zip code to 898211 to find out information on housing resources near you. You can also access the 2-1-1 network online. FindHelp and MiBridges also provide additional contact information on resources and shelters in your community.
