Zandam Hussaini

Zandam is a research analyst whose work is driven by a passion for systems that translates into impactful policy changes. Zandam is particularly dedicated to investigating how systems can be designed to better serve vulnerable populations, using evidence-based insights to inform policy decisions. He is also highly skilled in quantitative analysis and the use of large datasets to investigate disparities in access and utilization of services.

Prior to joining HSRI, Zandam was a postdoctoral associate at Lurie Institute for Disability Policy, Brandeis University, where he investigated disparities in health care access, utilization, and health outcomes among people with disabilities. Prior to that, Zandam worked in Nigeria as a community-based rehabilitation coordinator on community living access to assistive device projects.

When not at work, Zandam enjoys watching and playing soccer. He volunteered as a coordinator in community initiative program for new African students in the Greater Boston area.

  • Doctorate from the University of Putra, Malaysia
  • Masters from University of Lagos, Nigeria
