The senior program provides daily meals, entertainment, health education classes, daily fitness classes, transportation and field trips for senior citizens in the community.

The DAWN Center provides free diabetes self-management education and many other health related services to Houstonians in order to reduce and prevent chronic disease.

The Houston Parks and Recreation Department’s Alief Community Center, housed inside the facility, offers a wide range of recreation programs for all ages.
Programs include the After-School Enrichment Program, Summer Enrichment Program, Teen Program, Senior Recreation and Leisure Program, Nature Program, Volunteer Program, Gymnasium, Fitness Room.
The park includes a swimming pool, walking paths, tennis courts, a basketball court, a skatepark, soccer fields, practice field, futsal courts, and a playground with a large climbing net structure and climbing wall.

The Mayor’s Office of New Americans informs and educates immigrants & refugees about the immigration laws of the United States, provides referrals and acts as liaison between immigrant communities and city government. They also offer access to immigration lawyers through their connections to other agencies. They collaborate with these agencies to host monthly immigration
forums throughout the city.
