USFS Chief Meetings
DICKINSON, N.D – On Tuesday, June 25, Senator John Hoeven will hold meetings with U.S. Forest Service (USFS) Chief Randy Moore in North Dakota to address the priorities of the state’s livestock and energy producers. That morning, Hoeven and Moore will meet with western North Dakota grazing associations to discuss management of the Dakota Prairie Grasslands, including road access and noxious weed control.
Later that day, Hoeven and Moore will hold a roundtable with oil and gas producers, where the senator will outline the importance of maintaining multiple use on federal lands, including for energy development. The group will also discuss efforts to reclaim orphaned oil wells, including converting them to freshwater wells to help provide permanent drought relief, and will conclude the meeting with a visit to a reclaimed well. Press are encouraged to caravan with the group out to the oil well site following the roundtable.
