Minot Alteration Working Group Meeting

Friday morning Hoeven will participate in a working meeting to discuss the potential large-scale alteration Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection (MREFP) plan. Hoeven has worked since the flood of 2011 to secure federal relief funds to Minot in grants, loans and direct assistance, which amounts to more than $652 million to date for a range of flood recovery and prevention activities. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Hoeven worked to include $250,000 in Fiscal Year 2015 budget for the International Joint Commission for a study on the Souris River Basin flood control.
