Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan wrote letters to religious heads, political parties, different organisations and media, seekin their support in making the government's 'Mera Mask Meri Suraksha' and 'Meri Holi Mere Ghar' campaigns successful.

He said 556 people were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the count of recoveries in Madhya Pradesh to 2,62,587. Four of 52 districts in the state did not report a new Covid-19 case in the last 24 hours, the official pointed out.

Covid-19: 1-day lockdown in 3 Madhya Pradesh cities on March 21

Madhya Pradesh on Friday logged its highest single-day spike of the year 2021 with 1,140 new Covid-19 disease cases and seven related fatalities, taking the caseload and death toll to 2,73,097 and 3,901 respectively. Friday’s figures have also been the highest since late December last year.

Indore, Bhopal account for 54% of Madhya Pradesh’s Covid caseload: CM

Madhya Pradesh govt issues rules for 15-year-old vehicles

In its notification, the Madhya Pradesh government has also said that cars older than 15 years will need a ‘fitness certificate’. This will be applicable for both government as well as private vehicles and the policy is expected to be implemented from April.
