Since our inception, we have been able to work with businesses and residents like you to provide funding to purchase some equipment and training supplies. CERT
Community Emergency Response Team
CERT offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responders can rely on during disaster situations. CERT prepares you to help yourself, your family, your neighbors and your community in the event of a disaster.
CERT volunteers are trained to prepare for and respond to a disaster until first responders arrive.
RACES
Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service
Huntington Beach RACES volunteers operate on behalf of the Huntington Beach Fire Department, Emergency Management and Homeland Security Office. RACES emergency communications are authorized by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC Part 97.407). For non-emergency public service and special events, HB RACES operates as an auxiliary communications service (ACS) for the City of Huntington Beach.
